AI usage

In Artificial Intelligence › Usage (/dashboard/ai/usage) you can see how much the AI assistant was used in the selected workspace and what it cost, day by day and interaction by interaction.

What is counted

Usage comes from the Builder's AI Chat: every message the assistant answers is an interaction. For each one, the platform records:

Measure	What it is
Input tokens	What the assistant read in order to answer.
Output tokens	What the assistant wrote.
Total tokens	Input + output.
Amount (USD)	What the interaction cost your organization, in dollars.

A token is a piece of text, usually shorter than a word. It is the unit AI models use to measure what they read and write.

Period and workspace

• Period: by default, from the 1st of the month until today. Change it in the date picker, in the top right corner; you can look back up to 12 months. Dates follow Brasília time.
• Workspace: the screen shows only the usage of the active workspace. To see another one, switch workspaces at the top of the dashboard (see Workspaces).

The refresh button reloads the numbers without leaving the screen.

What the screen shows

• Period cards: total interactions, total tokens and amount in US$.
• Amount over time: a chart with what usage cost each day, with the daily maximum and the total for the period.
• Daily breakdown: one row per day with interactions, input tokens, output tokens, total and amount.
• Latest usage: the 20 most recent interactions, with date and time, total tokens, amount and Paid by — who covered that interaction:

Paid by	Meaning
Plan	The AI plan your organization has subscribed to.
Courtesy	The AI courtesy offered by Kobana.
Credits	The AI credits your organization has bought.

Example

In the Aurora Energia workspace, from October 1 to 24, the assistant answered 9 messages, used about 1.16 million tokens and cost US$ 5.11. The most expensive day was 10/17, at US$ 1.67.
