Pages
In the Pages tab of the Builder you see the portal menu, create new pages, change the order and open each page's settings. In the Aurora Energia portal, for example, the menu has Home, Invoices, Tax invoices and Help, and the Invoice detail page stays out of the menu.
The page list
- Portal menu — the pages that appear in the header menu, in the order they appear. Each row shows the name, the route and how many blocks the page has.
- Outside the menu — pages that are in the portal but not in the menu (dashed outline). They are opened by links, like the detail page of a record.
- Structure — the blocks of the open page, as a tree. Click a block to select it in the preview.
Click a page name to open it in the preview. Pages created or changed since the last publication get the new or changed mark.
Create a page
-
Click + New page.
-
Give it a Name — for example, Installments. The Route is filled in from the name (
/parcelas); you can change it. -
Under Start with, choose:
Template What comes ready Blank Just the page title. Good for building with the chat. Listing Title, a row of indicators (KPIs) and a table. Detail Title, a record's sheet (Detail) and the list of documents. -
Click Create page.
The page goes into the draft with the portal header and footer, and gets the new mark. Then choose the data source of the blocks — see Data in blocks.
You can also ask the chat: "Create a contracts page with the overdue ones highlighted".
Change the menu order
Drag the page up or down, or use the arrows next to the name. The order applies to the header menu and to the first item of the breadcrumb.
Page settings
Click the gear next to the page. The window has three tabs.
General
| Field | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Menu name | How the page appears in the portal menu. |
| Route | The page address, like /faturas. |
| Title | Appears in the browser tab and at the top of the page. |
| Description | A summary of the page. It is also used as the meta description and og:description when those fields are empty. |
| Show in menu | When off, the page stays live and opens through links, but leaves the menu. Use it for detail pages, like Invoice detail in Aurora Energia. |
Meta tags
| Field | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Keywords | The page keywords. |
| Robots | Whether search engines can index the page. By default, it follows the portal default. |
| Canonical | The "official" address of the page, if it can be opened from more than one. |
Pages behind login get noindex by default. Change it only on public pages.
Open Graph
Defines how the page link appears when shared on WhatsApp, by email or on social networks: og:title, og:description and the image. Empty fields use the page title and description.
Default page settings
The gear next to + New page opens the Default page settings: meta description, keywords, robots and Open Graph that apply to all pages. Whatever a page defines in its own settings takes priority. The recommended robots value is noindex, nofollow, since the portal is behind login.
These settings are part of the draft: they apply in the portal after you publish.
Header and footer
The Header and the Footer are blocks like the others, but they apply to the whole portal: what you change in them on one page changes on all of them, and they always stay at the top and at the end of the page. See what you can configure in Blocks.
Delete a page
Click the trash can next to the page and confirm. The page and its blocks leave the draft and the menu; the published portal only changes when you publish. To go back, undo it through the chat or restore a previous version in the History — see Publishing and versions.
