Portal look
In the Visual tab of the Builder you define the portal colors: one palette for light mode and another for dark mode. Your customers start in their system's mode and switch with the light/dark button in the header.
Edit the colors
- Choose the mode: Light or Dark. The preview now shows the page in that mode.
- For each color, click the swatch to open the picker, or type the hexadecimal code (like
#EA6A0C) and press Enter. - Check the preview. To start over, use Restore default light mode colors (or dark).
| Color | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| Primary color | Buttons, header and highlights |
| Text on primary | Text of buttons and header |
| Accent color | The brand in the header and details |
| Background | Page background |
| Text | Main text |
| Cards | Background of cards, tables and panels |
| Soft areas | Secondary backgrounds and footer |
| Secondary text | Descriptions and captions |
| Borders | Lines and outlines |
Aurora Energia uses the brand orange as the primary color and a yellow as the accent, in both modes. A new portal starts with a teal-green palette.
You can also ask the chat for the colors — for example, "Use Aurora's orange (#EA6A0C) as the primary color, in both themes". The assistant proposes the palette in a card, with the old and new colors, and you click Apply.
Colors go live when you publish
The colors are part of the draft, like the pages: your customers only see the change after you publish. Each version keeps the colors it was published with, so Put live on a previous version brings back its colors too. Restore to draft, on the other hand, copies only the pages: the draft colors stay as they are.
The published theme applies to the portal pages and also to the login, password recovery and invitation screens.
Portal › Visual
Portal › Visual (/dashboard/portal/settings/visual) edits the same colors, with a preview of buttons, cards and fields. What you change there also goes into the draft and only goes live when you publish in the Builder.
